… Leo Rosten
My dear friends,
Recently, a client asked me “what happens when you die”? Being blessed with the gift of Mediumship, I felt very comfortable giving her insight as to “what happens” and thought to share this information with you, also.
In her book, BETWEEN DEATH AND LIFE, Dolores Cannon gives very insightful descriptions as to what occurs at the moment of death.
“People should not be afraid of dying. Death is no more to be feared than breathing. Dying is as natural and as painless as if blinking your eyes and that’s almost the way it is.
At one moment your are in one plane of existence and you blink your eyes, so to speak and then you are in another plane of existence. … it is painless. Any pain felt is from PHYSICAL DAMAGE but spiritually there is NO pain.
At the moment of death there is a feeling of coldness and then suddenly the spirit is standing by the side of the bed (or wherever) looking at the human body.
They usually can’t understand why the other people in the room are so upset because THEY feel so wonderful with an over all feeling of exhilaration rather that dread, a sense of being FREE!
Your memories are intact and you feel the same as if your life is continuing.
Sometimes it takes a little bit to notice that you are no longer connected to your physical body but usually that is noticed right away because your perceptions are broadened to where you can perceive the spiritual plane with out the veil (like a clouded mirror) in the way.
At first there is a period of orientation. You are conscious of the physical plane but start exploring and absorbing the sensations of the spiritual plane and then become more comfortable.
The concept of the “silver cord” is real and is a lifeline in an energetic sense which maintains a connection between your spiritual energies and your body. It is a real device and is severed at the point of death.”
